Lovely! Clear and such an easy read for all walks of life. So inspirational. I enjoyed it and completed the meditations before 40 days. Just could not stop after each meditation. Fr. William Casey delivers again in this little book! It is well written and easy to read. Through it's simplicity he opens your heart to reflect on where you are in your spiritual journey and where you should strive to be. I have read it to my children as part of their catechism during the lenten season, and they were very receptive to it. (ages 10-14) This is a book which you can adapt throughout the liturgical year, not just lent. Enjoy!

This book was an easy read and meditative also. I like how it resurfaced thoughts of the things Catholics should know, and then they leave saying "oh, yeah."

Good book for anyone at anytime. Lent, Advent, Ordinary time. Fr. Bill's reflections and common sense writings are always a great place to start or a great refresher to keep handy.

Present for Mom. I gave it to her a little late (a week after Easter). However, it will give her a year to read and brush up on all the Holy Lent information. It's nice to reflect back on these educational items.

I wish this book was longer. It gives the reader a lot to think about and pray over. I recommend this book for all who strive to become closer to the Trinity during this Lenten season and beyond.

This book is tremendously broad in its coverage of planning topics, though not in depth. Most topics get only 2 pages, though some get 4-5. References are listed for each topic to help you find more detailed information. The book is well organized and indexed. It's loaded with illustrations such as graphs, diagrams, flow charts, line art, photographs, and maps. Most are black and white, but there are 16 color plates that are grouped together and stuck in a seemingly arbitrary position in the middle of an unrelated topic.Some information is already out of date. For example, on page 580 it says that the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21) expired in 2003 and Congress was still debating reauthorization. The new act (SAFETEA-LU) was enacted in August 2005 and is not mentioned.My only real complaint is that the type is quite small and can be difficult to read for 40+ year-old readers. On the other hand, I understand that if they used larger type this huge, heavy book would be even bigger and heavier.I also got the electronic, online version of the book and was disappointed in that, again because of the small type. Even using a 20" monitor I had a very hard time reading it. The viewer application that Amazon uses has very limited capability to zoom in on the text so it does not help.

Essential information for any planning student. Extremely useful diagrams.

This is a mandatory book in an urban planner or college bookshelf, for it has all the necessary information to complete urban projects. It is my handbook and that says all. It is also very well presented with a hardcover in good leather. The only shortcoming that I see is the absence of folded pages with urban plans in a larger scale, or renderings of zoning plans.

Happy with the level of detail, illustrations and content inside. Highly recommended.

Her writing is so good! Nothing like some YA books that seem dumbed down in their sentence structure and plot. I loved all the characters and really got lost in the world of the 4 kingdoms!The first book was a refreshing retake on the princess and the pea! The main character was not annoying with voicing her insecurities over and over (like some YA heroines do) . There were plenty of surprises in the plot !The second book had a bit more magic and identity of the wolf was a very realistic take on who the real enemy is.The novella was hands down the best novella I have ever read! The story and plot were just as intriguing as a regular length novel!If you are in a princess and other world mood read these books!

These stories are so great and are in a boxed set as well, so what a deal! They are clean, though there is a slight bit of innuendo in the second story. Very clever retellings and I will be recommending them to my nieces when they are in their early teens. Can't wait to read the rest and I will be keeping this author on my to-read list!

I liked this series a lot. It was a clever twist on old fairy tales and I'll be picking up set #2 to finish off the stories. It doesn't quite reach the level of Mercedes Lackey's retellings, but it's definitely worth the purchase.

I just love these books! Melanie has an incredible gift for tying the fairy tales together and giving them a creativity and freshness that we just can’t get enough of. These book are entertaining enough for adults and clean so if your kids are interested in them they can read them too!

I love this series! She has done a good job with making the fairytales her own work. I am close to finishing the 2nd book and love it and I loved the first book. Can't wait to read the others in the series. Good for teens, No Language and G rated love scenes.

These books are fantastic! I wasn’t sure what to expect with a fairy tale retelling, but the stories are unique and the characters are deep, fun and lovable. I really just can’t recommend them enough. They’re clean and intriguing!

Enjoyed so much the retelling of the three fairytales, especially Little Red Riding Hood! Melanie 's talent is evident as she weaves the tales in a vibrant tapestry!

Melanie Cellier draws on traditional fairy tales to create her own delightful tales in The Four Kingdoms. Her three-dimensional heroines of each narration are captivating. I cannot help but care deeply about their outcomes. I am swept up by the sweet romances that are weaved into each tale and I'm grateful that the content is appropriate for young readers.
