The book is a well rounded overview of commercial electricity. A great jumping off point to find general understanding.
Very informative book. Took me from 120/240 all the way up to 440 3 phase in easy to understand terms and theory. I recommend this book to anyone who needs to learn more than how to wire a household circuit.

Very good!! Better than I expected!!
A decent book that I bought as a cheap reference. As an apprentice I look for anything that can make me a better electrician, this book offers a little peek into a world that you might not get a chance to see and understand in your first four years of on the job training.
The book contains much useful information, and it was well presented. The main drawback was that it was based on the 1999 NEC code. No mention of the date was contained in the advertizing blurb. It is now 2010. The most recent NEC codebook came out in 2008.
The book doesn't have any layouts of wiring configurations to show how doesn't shows how to hook up 3 phase voltage.
