I usually always finish a book. I power through until the end, but with this one I just couldn't. It was very poorly written. There were sentences that made absolutely no sense at all. There were tense errors,grammatical errors and stilted dialog. Some of it read like a third grader write it. The title is also misleading, there were no bad boys, just man ho's and wuss boys.
i read this box set as part of an arc program. This set includes My Best Friend's Little Sister , Rodeo Rancher, Bad Daddy and Falling For My Ex.My Best Friend's Little Sister- I enjoyed the story of Rex and Sherry. Rex and Charlie own a strip club in Chicago and none of Charlie's family know what he does for a living. When Sherry comes home from college and travels to Chicago for a job interview, she stays with Charlie and Rex, making it hard for them to keep their secret. Sherry knows something is wrong and wants to find out what the men are up to, she demands her driver to take her to their club. When she gets there, she asks to see the owner and is sent to the office where she walks in on Rex and one of the strippers. Sherry now has an image to go with her fantasy of Rex, and sets to make it reality. Rex is so attracted to Sherry but knows if he tries to be with her, Charlie will kill him but he can only resist for so long. When Sherry and Rex start seeing each other, they keep it a secret until others figure it out and cause trouble. I enjoyed this book and I really liked Rex, I thought he really was a good guy who wanted to be loved, but never knew how to have a real relationship.Rodeo Rancher- This was the story of Cecelia, a ranch owner and Dante, a ranch hand on her ranch. Cecelia was single and thought Dante was too much of a player to take seriously. When they go to a rodeo, Cecelia meets a man and they become involved, much to Dante's disappointment. Dante flirts with Cecelia and tries to get her to date him, but she refuses. Dante is in love with Cecelia but if she won't date him, he decides to seek out someone to take her place. Eventually after Dante catches Cecelia's boyfriend cheating on her, she gives Dante a chance but is still unsure if she can trust him. I liked this story and thought it was a little different because Dante was the one who chased Cecelia and knew how he felt about her.Falling For My Ex- I really enjoyed this second chance romance between Kendra and Dennis. Kendra and Amber were best friends in high school and when Amber started to date Dennis, Kendra felt an attraction to him. Dennis also felt it and knew Amber wasn't the girl for him, he wanted Kendra and when he asked her out, she declined because of Amber. After a few months, Dennis and Kendra meet again at a football game and Dennis kissed her. When Amber found out, she ended her friendship with Kendra. Dennis and Kendra dated until it was time to go to college and broke up when Kendra refused to follow him and give up her dreams. Ten years later, Dennis meets an old school friend and they talk about the old days reminding Dennis about Kendra. Dennis decides to find her and when he finds she still lives in the same city, he tries to contact her. Kendra is now a councilor for teen girls in trouble and when Dennis tries to contact her, she refuses. Eventually Dennis wears her down and she agrees to see him for closure, only Dennis has other ideas, he wants her back. This was a good story I enjoyed, I liked that Kendra still wanted to be her own woman and didn't just go with Dennis because he was rich. Dennis thought a little too much of himself, but Kendra really gave him a reality check.I love reading box sets from authors. You get a few books for a good price and you can really enjoy your favorite authors at once. I love Lauren's books and try to read them all.
