In 2002, a couple of weeks before Dad died at eighty years of age (he was in the throes of Parkinson's disease), he was in the living room, sitting immobile and was insistent we be quiet. as he believed a Mr. Brady was taking his picture for posterity. Mr. Brady was angry, he didn't want my father to move and Brady wanted us to be quiet. Brady, reportedly, was furious with the noise level, when I was trying to find out from the only other person in the house -- my mother -- if there was a BRADY photography studio on Staten Island (New York) where my parents originally were born and lived for a majority of their lives (nor, nowhere else we resided, for that matter.) After 2 1/2 hours, I had quite enough, as I was angry because I really thought the medications were doing this to my father. I kept searching for a Brady studios in the telephone books, as well as the Internet. Two days after Dad died, all of a sudden I realized: Brady... Mathew Brady. "But attempting to hold a pose for so long a time could result in a blank stare. To avoid that, the sitter might be instructed to gaze at some distant object, instead of looking directly into the camera lens. Photographic Art Journal, in 1851, advised subjects to think serious or pleasing thoughts, depending on which ever expression they desired...""...the sitter's head and the rod behind the sitter's body, they could not be seen in the photograph... 'Don't even breathe!'The operator then removed the cap from the camera's lens. The subject strained to remain as still as a statue. No one even spoke. After the required exposure time, the lens cap was replaced and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.The plate was removed from the camera, then developed and mounted. At some studios the process was completed in fifteen minutes to half an hour..." I 100% recommend this book. Although this book is for those who have already grasped the basic concepts of algebra/geometry, it is easy to understand. Mike does a wonderful job explaining each concept with just enough detail. The bits of humor in this book keep you going when you're bored. The practice questions at the end are really helpful because they are more challenging versions of the chapter content.After going through every chapter (be interactive! highlight important parts, takes notes, do the practice questions), I recommend writing down the general idea of each chapter on a flashcard; that way, you don't have to reread the chapters again. Through this painstaking 1 1/2 month process, I am happy to report that I got a 790!(Note: the most important part about improving your score (math or English) is to take actual full-length practice tests.Spending lots of time going over wrong answers, after correcting it, is the best way to improve. That being said, this book is most definitely needed to help achieve a near-perfect or perfect score. Use this book as a supplement to regular practice tests- be sure to finish it through at least once!)

I bought your PWN the SAT: Math guide for my daughter last summer and used it in conjunction with PrepScholar.com.My daughter improved her SAT 260 points to a 1580, and was almost perfect on her math (790) after scoring 620 just two months earlier.Your book was instrumental as she ran out of practice questions on PrepScholar well before she was ready. Both your readability as well as the quality of practice questions made all the difference. We purchased the other top 3 selling SAT math guides, and they weren’t close to as useful as yours.

I am a tutor in Central NJ and an adjunct math instructor at a local college. I have reviewed most of the study guides out there and this one wins -- although Philip Keller's The New Math SAT Game Plan is a close second. Both of these books really get into the mindset of what is required to do well on SAT math, but Mike's book is a little meatier. If I had a student who contacted me late for prep, I'd go with Keller's book since it is more streamlined, but otherwise for the student who is allowing adequate prep time I'd go with Mike's book.I was skeptical to purchase and inspect Mike's book with "Pwn" in the title, but with all of the glowing recommendations I decided to give it a try. I'm in my 50s and had to google the meaning of "pwn." Apparently, it means to own or dominate used predominantly in the vernacular of video gamers; it seems Mike is a gamer himself, but brings a lot more to the table. Notwithstanding the colloquialism used in the title, this is a serious book that is written to and for a teen looking to optimize his or her performance on SAT Math.Mike is an extremely intelligent individual whose book reflects his 2400 score. He knows his stuff inside and out and understands the roadblocks that prevent students from doing their best. Not everyone is a 700+ scorer, but everyone can and should get the score that accurately reflects his or her best test taking on the big day. More importantly, he writes in a casual,lively, entertaining tone. It is easy to see that he genuinely cares for his audience. It makes more sense to use an SAT book written by someone with the personal credentials to write it rather than the "written by committee" textbooks of the national prep companies. It really is a hidden gem. Amazon gets two thumbs up for selling these types of specialty books that most likely would not be given shelf space at Barnes and Noble to compete against McGraw Hill, Barron's, Kaplan, Princeton Review, and all of the other publishers that have the publishing clout to get shelf space. Sometimes the most popular isn't the best. McDonald's overall revenues exceeds that of Peter Luger steak house, the best steakhouse in NYC, but it doesn't mean you get a better meal there. Best Math SAT book on the market, hands down. I am generally good at math, but my math PSAT scores were low and did not reflect that at all. However, I was able to get a 790/800 (only one question wrong!) the first time I took the real SAT, and this book helped immensely (and yes, so did diligence and hard work). Much thanks to Mr. Mike. This book teaches you strategies, gives shortcuts that are hard to find elsewhere, and actually drills you on the hard stuff. Also, this book is humorously written and not dry like pretty much every other SAT book. If you are looking to get top scores, this is the review book for you.

I loved the humorous, conversational tone of the book which made it a lot more student-friendly. I love how he has an index of techniques for each practice test. It really helped me when I reviewed my practice test; I got the questions right immediately! I really appreciate the author's effort toward putting out such a great book. If you actually follow the study plan/suggestions that he offers in the book I think it can really help you. You should also take advantage of the opportunities available to the Math Guide Owners (you'll know what I'm talking about if you buy the book). I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to raise their SAT scores and just understand math better in general. I look forward to pwning the SAT thanks to this book :)

This book is so good because of how entertaining it is. Most study books are dry, and as a result I had trouble convincing myself to read them, even to improve my sat score. This book, however, really is fun to read. It helped me review a lot of math concepts that I had forgotten, and it was great because I didn’t need to work on my English score, just the math section. It got me to a 790 on the math section which is pretty much as good as I could hope for

I enjoyed reading this book. The character development was good and. The ntrigue kept me very much involved. I did not understand all the financial intrigue, but got the important part. I have always enjoyed a Baldacci book and will buy another. A good read. Mickey

Some how I missed this book in my quest to read every Baldacci book in the order they were written. I am very glad I discovered it. Lots of suspenseful action and Baldacci does a good job of creating and describing his characters so you can visualize each one. Great book! Worth every page turned!

Two sisters both police, well at one time were, and a lawyer too, get involve in a murder, and it get going from there, as I said at times it's a little boring then pick up real fast so you want to keep going, though the ending was a little connie but if you a David Baldacci fan you will enjoy it, give it a try.

Not Baldaccci's best. I liked this the least of any of his books. And I've read them all. He's my favorite author.

I have read all of David's books - some three and four times and love them! But while writing is still very good, I did not like ANY of the people. They did not seem real or reasonable. More King and Maxwell. No more Mace,she is unreal. Actually nasty. With K /M we find their feelings, not so with mace. At least not real ones.

I’m so annoyed. Decided to purchase this book even thou it was $10 because I really liked the other 3 I read from this author which were only $7. Im only on chapter 14 but I’m thinking about giving up on it because I cannot stand that silly main character. If I thought one of the other people in the book would come along and shove her smart ass off that stupid motorcycle and send her tough skinny girl ass back to jail I would continue reading. Oh well, you win you lose.

I really enjoyed this book; Strong plot and characters. I felt immersed in the story and was sorry when the book ended. I’d really like to see the Perry sisters return. My only issue was the use of the word bandit to describe bad guys. It’s not the 1800s. Find a better word.

I like the characters that the author creates. They are real and flawed like the rest of us. I cared hat happened to them in the twists and turns of the wonderfully masterful plot. In other words, I couldn't put the book down!

This is one of the best accounts of someone's personal evolution I've read. Lately, many are writing about their lives and personal growth and Sue's account stands out. Not only does she openly expose herself and her vulnerability, she also writes in a way that is easily relatable. I found her courage and her adventurous spirit very inspiring. You know she is not trying to convince anyone nor sell herself, she simply shares her experiences. The combination of adventure and spiritual insights were perfect for me and much of what she described validated what I've experienced myself. She felt like a close sister to me. Thank you Sue!

Sue is a personal friend and I've witnessed her spiritual journey since the early 2000s. What makes her so amazing to me is that she has both feet on the ground while remaining a receptive and powerful conduit for Spirit to work in her life. As a professional editor, I'm always skeptical when friends or acquaintances say to me, as Sue did, that they're writing a book and will be self-publishing. I want to be supportive, but also know what a disaster it can be if the work isn't given proper care and attention. So when I read Sue's book (Ancient Ones Are Calling Us), I was doubly thrilled. Her book is extremely well-written and engaging. She takes the reader on the emotional/spiritual rollercoaster with her as she struggles to accept the "woo-woo" experiences that led her to trust the communication and insights she was receiving. Her willingness to listen to her inner teachers led her to fully embrace her spiritual path and develop a process to help people move toward embodying their full potential. I had trouble putting the book down, and literally inhaled it within a couple of days. It was only while reading it that I began to fully appreciate the power of the alignment process she had done with me in early 2017. The effects had been subtle yet powerful, and I hadn't fully made the connection or truly appreciated the gift she had given me. When she did an "upgrade" with me last month, after I read the book, my life was immediately transformed. I witnessed miracles in my primary relationship and have had major breakthroughs in my personal vision. Even if you don't take advantage of working with Sue, her book is a beautiful story about trusting intuitive insights, taking risks, and living outside the box. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for the courage to break free of limited thinking.

This was a truly inspirational book about the power of following one's own spirit, with courage, faith and openness to where and what experiences that calling may lead. It's like a modern-day "A Wrinkle in Time", where the heroine has truly fantastic experiences, not bound by the constraints of time and space. Only, unlike "A Wrinkle in Time", this is a true story. Ms. Cimino writes with ease, clarity, humor and vulnerability in telling her story. I believe that this woman is working miracles to improve the level of consciousness of our universe. Wow!

This was an inspiring and exciting read! I really felt like I was right there with Sue as she was discovering her life’s purpose. This inspires me to rely more on that little voice of inner knowing so that I too can find myself wandering with a purpose, following my heart on grand adventures.
